About

MB Tools · VIA

VIA is a technical assessment platform for VMware vSphere environments: agentless, offline, and deterministic. Built to give infrastructure teams the data they need before deciding, whether that decision is to leave, stay, or optimize.

Behind VIA
Our mission

VIA's core mission: to discover and analyze the complexity that accumulates, year after year, across an infrastructure and its applications, and make it visible and measurable before it dictates your costs, your risks, and your decisions.

Built by people who lived the problem.

VIA is developed by MB Conseil TI, an independent IT consulting firm specialized around VMware and its ecosystem. The same observation recurred on every engagement: no organization had a reliable, up-to-date picture of its own virtual estate.

The conviction behind the tool: data a team can defend to its leadership and its vendors, not hastily reconstructed estimates.

Our approach

Deterministic and explicable.

Deterministic

Every rule, every score, every finding is calculated reproducibly: identical data always yields identical results.

Explicable

Every finding references its source: official documentation, lab validation, or assumed findings clearly marked. You can defend every line of the report to leadership and vendors.

Neutral

VIA's findings are based on data, not on partnerships or margins.

How we build the rules

A report you can defend, line by line.

Every rule follows the same path before it appears in a report. That is what makes a finding defensible to leadership or a vendor.

01

Documented

Every rule starts from the vendor's official documentation and recurring field observations. Nothing is made up.

02

Lab-validated

The behavior is verified on a test bench before a rule is published. What is not confirmed does not become a finding.

03

Traced

Every finding carries its source. When a finding rests on an assumption rather than a source, it is clearly marked in the report.

04

Reviewed

Rules evolve with vSphere ecosystem versions, so the picture stays accurate over time.
